GO BAND!

We have officially started the 2011-2012 school year with a hearty dose of sun and heat during the Summer Band Camp! We are extremely excited to say that so far this has been the most productive, and most energetic group of students yet!

Students have been hard at work learning the music to our 2011 Marching Show entitled Immortal, including songs “My Immortal” and “Hello” from the band Evanescence, as well as original music incorporated by the show’s arranger, Aaron Guidry. Students have also been learning and refining their marching skills outside with fundamental work and learning the drill for the show written by Mr. Nathaniel Neugent when the whether permits.

We are very proud of the Color Guard, taught by Mr. Gary Locke. The Guard already has flag, rifle and saber work learned for 3 1/2 movements out of 4! Their work ethic and camaraderie has been truly impressive this summer.

Also, a big thank you goes to the WHHS Teachers and administration for their support of our very active band students!
